    • In Jan. 1845 Henri Jacob, sawyer, asked for a passport for New York. Soon after that he sold a meadow and a house located in Kruth. Finally he left only at the end of 1853, via Le Havre and disembarked at New Orleans in Jan. 1854, five months before Panteleon was born.
      He built a cabin on a spring fed branch of the Coleto. In December 1855, his wife Agathe and their 9 Undisclosed children left the valley for Texas. They arrived in good shape in the beginning of 1856.

      Two other children were born in Texas: Reinholt in 1859 and Paulina in 1861.
